Parent Testimonials

“My daughter has improved her overall outlook on life. She is more confident, able to multi-task and handles all the daily tasks that face her. LearningRx should be a “rite of passage” for all adolescents. It opens up the pathway to everyday logic. I can tell that she has improved greatly. She is a processed thinker. She no longer struggles with homework, and she’s a more ordered person.”

“Chandler went from barely passing science to making the highest grade the teacher had on his final exam. That was after 3 weeks of training. This school year he has an “A” average in all classes.”

“I have seen a great improvement in Heather’s ability to concentrate and be more attentive to her work. She will remember to do things after being asked that she would always forget and disappoint us before. Occasionally she will even notice something and do it before being asked or reminded. Wow!”

Lisa Ann
Mother of Heather, age 13

“The LearningRx programs are awesome! They teach things the schools will never teach. It fully engages the child and causes them to push through and try harder (schools merely feed information into the children’s ears and test their ability to memorize it all). LearningRx helps children actually do something with information given and requires actual usage of the brain. Not just the memory but the processing of the information, and it actually worked! Every child should be given the opportunity to be mentally strengthened, challenged, and encouraged to use their entire brain at the earliest age possible! Whoever came up with such a program is awesome and the providers are too!!!”

“Where to start…Sam has improved in so many areas!!! She has the native intelligence to be a very good student but she was not succeeding at all. When we began six months ago, I never would have dreamt she would be doing high school work this fall, but she is! The biggest gift has been what LearningRx has done for her confidence! I don’t hear “It’s too hard” anymore! She is now convinced that she is intelligent and does not balk at new ideas; instead she accepts them as challenges (not to mention- she can now spell)!”

Mother of Samantha – age 14

“Huge, huge, huge improvement in speed of work and staying on task! A massive improvement in his response to verbal directions and sequencing. Major improvement in spelling, and reading really took off! The improvement in just getting him to be open to the whole learning process has been immense. He is far more willing to expend the energy to see an assignment through to completion now!”

Mother of Ben, age 12

“Turner has become a better reader by being able to read the words faster which therefore makes him a smarter reader. He can understand the story better because he is not focusing so much on having to figure out what each word is in the story. The intense work that he did with each letter sound was great, because he then understood why the word was pronounced a certain way. This also helps a lot with his spelling, because now he knows what he is hearing. A good example of this is when you hear a long vowel you will spell the word with a vowel, then “e” on the end of the word (example a____e). This has helped a lot, because now he knows what words need an”e” on the end. The ThinkRx program was great in improving his memory and direction listening skills.”

“Brenden thoroughly enjoyed his time at LearningRx and always looked forward to his next visit. Initially, several of the tasks in the LearningRx program were not understood by Brenden, much less completed at an efficient level. But now he has a solid grasp of the concepts and has excelled in completing many of them. One minor point noticed before LearningRx was that Brenden would put his shoes on the wrong feet 50% of the time. Now, through the spatial exercises, he is usually able to put them on the right feet 95% of the time. Math is a breeze now at school and he doesn’t always have to play catch up.”

“Jordan has demonstrated improved focus in tasks and activities. She seems much more confident in decision-making and is now enjoying reading more. Once she enters school this year, I expect a noticeable difference in completing assignments in a timely manner.”

“Before entering this program, our son Evan struggled terribly with his reading. He would never voluntarily read anything- even just a list of words if the words were more than three letters. Long words he automatically gave up on without even trying to sound them out. He seemed very defeated with reading, which also seemed to increase his frustration horribly. Since entering into LearningRx, Evan now voluntarily sounds out words, even long ones, and even reads without quite as much frustration. He appears to recognize how to tackle sounding out words and recognizes rules or “clues” to help with his reading.”

“My child is more confident with his work. I’ve seen his reasoning abilities increase significantly. He accomplished things I never would have imagined him doing. I was amazed. I learned a lot. He’s learned lessons and skills he can teach his younger brothers. We are very proud of him and his successful completion of the program.”

“Abigail has a lot more confidence in herself. She has made great strides in her ability to sound out words in her reading. She is quicker in her thinking process as well. Abigail has enjoyed LearningRx and her instructor. LearningRx is well worth the price you pay!”

“We highly recommend Learning Rx. Our daughter had a wonderful teacher who pushed her to excel in the Learning Rx program. At home we pushed her and it worked; she kept passing our expectations and level after level. Some of her weakest points have become some of her strongest points. Her teacher, Teresa, had a great way of making our daughter see things and understand by visualization of what she was reading. Thank you for this terrific program. We laughed at one section when our daughter said my brain hurts, Teresa said it’s working!”

Kathy
Mother of Kelsey, age 11

“Hannah has improved tremendously in reading orally. The amount of time that we spend on homework has been cut drastically. Hannah also makes an effort to complete her homework without assistance. Her ability to solve math word problems has incredibly improved. Most importantly, Hannah is starting to believe in herself.”

Maria
Mother of Hannah, age 9

“Rebekah is a much more confident child. She has been working harder, but is now seeing the success of her hard work. Her grades have significantly improved. The last quarter of school she received all A’s. We are both grateful and thankful for this wonderful program. It really does work! We will miss all the staff.”

Charlie and Shea
Parents of Rebekah, age 9

“Our child, Ashten, was having difficulties retaining what she read and reading with any speed. It was taking hours of homework. When she started Learning Rx, she was in the sixth grade. I knew this was only going to get harder as she got older. Now, not only is she reading faster and remembering what she read, but also has a lot more confidence. In the beginning she did not believe she could do her school work easier, faster, and better. Now she is voluntarily reading in the summer. She can now enjoy class. However, she is still shy but has the confidence to tackle projects and work on her own. I believe Learning Rx and her trainer have helped our daughter to come into her own. I hope these skills that she has taken the time to learn makes her life more enjoyable and fulfilling. We are now actually a little anxious for school to start. I can’t wait to see the full effect Learning Rx has had in her daily school work. Thank you for giving us such an option.”

Nancee
Mother of Ashten, age 13

“LearningRx has been great for my daughter. Her confidence has grown in all areas and she now feels like she can do anything she wants or needs to.”

“LearningRx was a tremendous help in increasing Rachel’s ability to read out loud, and also increased her desire to read books on her own. She loved LearningRx and did not complain about going each day or about the work she was asked to do. It was easy to see that Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Moore, along with the many other LearningRx staff, cared about Rachel and wanted to see her succeed. She was made to feel welcomed, loved, and appreciated. Any good parent loves to see their child treated as special, and LearningRx was excellent at that everyday.”

Parent of Rachel, age 9

“Whitney has improved a lot. She is a much better reader and speller. When she first went to LearningRx, she had difficulty with simple addition and subtraction; she no longer has that problem. Whitney’s attention span was so bad that we were considering having her evaluated for medication. It would take Whitney 2-3 hours to finish her homework; she now finishes her homework in less than 1 hour. Her scores improved on MAP. I have recommended this program to several other people.”

“Before we began the program, homework and studying for tests were a nightmare. We bickered and argued which led to great frustration, and his grades were consistently falling (along with his self-esteem). As a parent, I wanted to see my child succeed but had reached the point of exhaustion of what to do. I finally called LearningRx and felt immediate relief when the program was explained to me in greater detail. Once Adam was tested we had a plan to help him. Even he seemed more at ease. We are now finished with the program, and I have nothing but great things to say. His confidence and self-esteem have soared, and homework is not the chore it once was. Before, I felt as if I was constantly repeating myself. Now, if he needs further instruction, I usually only have to show him once. He is now confident and self-assured which is exactly what every parent wants for their child. My only regret is that I didn’t call sooner.” Dodie
Mother of Adam, age 10

“Jon began to see his homework and projects as manageable tasks that he could do well instead of overwhelming and stressful events. His anxiety has significantly decreased. LearningRx and his teacher have helped him take more responsibility for his work and time management. We think it was worth the time, effort and money.”

“I have shared our Rx story with many people! It is a great program that can help in many areas. Too many times we are afraid to talk about our children’s weaknesses and feel alone in our struggles. With a little communication and openness, we are able to reach out and help. I will continue to spread the Rx word that you have made a big difference in Delaney. We would be willing to share our story with anyone. We have Delaney back!! She is caught back up and ahead in many areas. We are most pleased to have her confidence and enthusiasm for school back!”
